Step 1.5: From Powerlessness to Gratitude

What does this bot do?

The bot will guide you step by step through a gentle writing exercise that takes us from difficulty to hope. To avoid feeling overwhelmed, we work on one thing at a time:

How does the bot work?

  • 1️⃣ Making room for the difficulty: The bot will first ask you to write down and release one specific instance of powerlessness that you are experiencing right now or have experienced recently."

  • 2️⃣ Finding the bright spot: After validating your difficulty, the bot will ask you to look at that exact same situation and find one thing within it that you can be grateful for.

  • 3️⃣ Balance and perspective: Finally, the bot will reflect back what you have written and help show how holding both things together (both the powerlessness and the gratitude) restores us to sanity. Afterward, you can choose whether to wrap up or do another round on a different powerlessness.
