Step 2 - Connecting to a Higher Power, Just for Today

What does this bot do?

The bot offers 3 practical work tracks. It is highly recommended to go through all three to gain a broad perspective and a full toolbox, but everything is in the "take what fits" style – everyone can choose the track that is most accurate for where they are currently in their recovery:

The Three Tracks

  • Track 1: Gratitude Track (Recognizing the optimistic and good): Writing 10 gratitudes with the bot's assistance to move out of self-centeredness, supress the background noise, and focus on what we have.

  • Track 2: "Reversing the Polarity" (Positive Sobriety): Daily practice of stepping out of ourselves and giving to others (to a partner, children, home, or ourselves without guilt). Starting with a small commitment in the morning and closing the loop with a reflection in the evening.

  • Track 3: Spiritual Connection to a Higher Power: Active mapping of daily difficulties or challenging situations, and matching a "Higher Power" and available resources (prayer, conversation, action) that can be utilized in real-time instead of acting on autopilot.
